Howdy,
Is the tranny downshift located at the accelerator pedal off of a switch? And is there an adjustment for it?
Thanks.

Yes as to location, don't know about the adjustment.

That's only the switch for downshift of course, the solenoid that does the downshifting is in the trans.

Thanks for the response. Yeah I saw that soleniod this week when I changed the tranny fluid and was wondering what/where it went to. Now I have no passing gear (downshift), but this is a hunting 'burb and really don't mind manually shifting into second chasing the quail/deer around.

I will be finished w/ the 'burb (a.k.a. beer wagon) up in a couple of weeks from when I bought it last winter. You know the usual stuff, lots of rust repair, 5" total lift, cut rockers, bobbed fenders, fab'd front/rear bumpers, LTB's 34"x10.5"x16" tires, gutted interior, etc...

Sorry, rambling on there.

Here are a few "before" teaser pics that I had:

An example of one of the minor rust spots.

Pic I saw before I bought it (good selling pic, can't see all the rust)

Some of the gutted interior I did.

More to come...

Well, might as well make this thread my before/after pics of the beer wagon (seems like I already have). Anyways this it what surrounds the th400...here's what's done to date:

pic of the dog and my boy

fab'd rear bumper ...and who needs bondo when you have sheet metal (check out the patch at the rusted out top corner)

the other side, check out that sheet metal patch...oh yeah baby!

nice little poor man's huntin' rig set up, and yes, that is a beer cooler (beer holders to come later mounted to cooler front)

Some more detailed pics of driver's side:

only reason for side steps, have a few older gentlemen at the ranch (I don't like'em, but they are nice and shiny)

fab'd rear bumper out of 3"x5" rect tubing (this will have a ladder fab'd to it at a later date for the roof rack platform up top)

no more rusted out rockers, this 2"x2" sq tubing fit perfect in it's place (screwed from up top at floor sills and welded on backside to body...plenty stout!)

another shot of the up and over dual exhaust

And now the passenger's side:

tial pipe up and over the frame

how it sits with 2.5" blocks in rear and add-a-leaf in front

another stance

front extra add-a -leaf

The gutted rear and no more spare tire bay

from dual shocks to a single up front (that is actually a shock for the rear, perfect w/ the add-a-leaf)
