The 2nd one - it runs!

Purple 72 I picked up from a junkyard
@kgblazerfive came over for a few minutes today and we dumped a little fuel in to see if we could get it to start, but it turns out the starter is bad after all. :( It'll crank over a couple of times, but then the solenoid kicks out and doesn't want to engage anymore.

Oh, and it's got a severely bent driveshaft (more JY forklift damage). Anybody in SLC or there abouts got one that will work? I'm not too picky on the size, so long as it'll go in. If I get this thing running I'd like to at least be able to drive around the neighborhood to test things out.

I just took a driveshaft off a k20. we could use the parts and retube yours if the yokes are good.

I will respond to that $800.

hence the I hate you comment.....
SCORE! If that is a single wall top with decent hatch, that will bring $800.00 by itself.

Unfortunately it's a double wall top, but yeah, overall I'd say the blazer is worth north of 3k.

Plan at the moment is just get it drivable and take it from there.

It needs new rotors, new driveshaft, and a good tune up. We'll see where it's at after that.

2nd owner, rust minimal, very good condition. He is not allowed to part it out. Engine compartment all original.
damn

damn

f***

I hate being jealous of others but I would hate seeing that thing get crushed more. It's hard to think about all the good vehicles that have been lost over the years to recycling.

It’s even worse when you think about some of the garbage that some guys start with to build.
Na, that doesn't bother me. It bothers me when someone doesn't really know what they have or scrap price is high... Like when it 475 a ton in 2009. Alot of things get junked because it's a easy way to make money. Scrap guys show up on door and offer to remove it and you have instant cash, vs the hassle of trying to find a buyer, placing and ad, blah, blah, blah.
