The IRS seems to have their own mathematics

    according to them 843 does not equal 843

    Got my tax return check today and got a notice 54: "The amount of the enclosed refund check is different from the amount shown on your return...." blah blah blah we'll talk later... blah blah blah.

    BUT it was the exact amount of the return i e-filed. Last time i checked 843 = 843 [​IMG]

    My taxes are simple and ive never had a problem before. [​IMG][​IMG][​IMG][​IMG]

    ps of course this is why i usually just mail in my return. Figures the one time i efile it gets all funked up "maybe".

    pps most notice 54s that ive read about were getting like 3,000 instead of 150 bucks type of mistakes.
