hey ya'll,
Who can find some teflon in 2.5 width strips for our style of 52inch rear springs ? I want to build a pack that uses a 8 inch rectangle of telfon between each leaf using the centering pin to hold them in place. I've heard of several people doing this with good results. Online source ?

8"?
the slippery bit needs to be at the tip of the spring

The springs I have don't have holes for the telfon tips. I've seen a few custom shops that did it this way as well. Such as Deaver or Eaton...
Know of an online source for the teflon stuff or how to drill to add the telfon tips?

I just drilled mine for the buttons
wasnt hard at all
I did break a 7/16 punch on the ironworker trying to punch them
but the drill press made short work of it

St. Louis Spring can hook you up with some teflon pads for the tips if you do it that way, 75 cents each.
