Very nice!
The valve cover is as clean as I have ever seen.First valve cover off. What do y’all think about the overall appearance? Clean or totally jacked? This is my first time seeing beneath the valve cover.

I always go with new when it is an option. And to add to my list, looks like my hydroboost is leaking too.

Any advice on new or remanufactured hydro boost brake boosters? Which brands are better and are new ones worth the extra cost or just go with reman?
My CDR leaks really bad. Amazon sells them, I just haven't replaced mine yet.
That works too!
I didn’t see any on Amazon, but maybe I misspelled something. Oh well, Rock Auto was cheaper than the local NAPA. They wanted $132 I was like ...

I never have painted the sealing surface, but as long as the paint sticks, I don't see an issue.

Hmmmm, I think I’m understanding what you’re getting at though. Painting the seal surface could interfere with the seal adhesion. So perhaps it would be better to just leave it alone ...
And while we are talking about leaks, I had noticed prior to uninstalling, that the CDR appeared to be leaking oil. Seems to me like it would be prudent to replace it, no?

Don’t have a photo with it installed, but that’s pretty much what it looked like.
