I had to work twelve hour shifts Fri., Sat. and Sunday.
What y'all been up to?
Unpacking everything. And deciding that besides the weather this place is pretty irritating. But I did get #2 diesel yesterday for 3.11 so thats good and cheap.
Not much happenin' here, just hangin out enjoying a day off...
I did get to meet James yesterday, he came down from Montgomery just to visit and have lunch - damn nice guy. Hopefully, next summer I'll be able to come up there and wheel with y'all.
Yes he is........mighty righteous fellar IMO!!!
Yeah, try to hit Tellico with us in late May early June!!!
Gas here in Conover was $2.58 yesterday...........$.20 drop in two days!!!
I was down John's way earlier, stopped by to visit and met James.
Spent Sat morning in a tree stand (saw a bunch of turkeys), went to Columbia and met up with Ryan22re (another good K5er). Got some 56's for the jimmy now. Made it home around 130 today, church pew and all.
I think everyone has been on the road this weekend. I know I saw and b.s.'d with 4 CK5 members in the last couple of days. CB, Matt, James, and Nut.
Just got back from Myrtle Beach, impromptu "camping" trip with the family. Good weather, good kayaking on the waves, good time overall.
Thats because I was on the road. Now I am back from my 2100 mile journey. Seen a few members off of here and NC4x4 on my way through the South East.
Went down to Mobile to see John (nvrenuf). I have been telling him for a year or two I was going to come down and meet him, well I had the time so I went down.
Stopped by Johns (clarkjw24), twice. He was nice enough to let me crash in his front yard. Met nut and was waiting around to see Matt but had to get on the road.....
Now the rest part begins..................
James, We missed you both days by just a little bit. We did not get to John's till about 2pm today. We took my mom out to lunch at that took longer than plan.
No problem. You got the bezels from John. I like those rim strengtheners that were being welded onto the H1's. A helluva lot better than the plates that cover up the rims.
You should have seen John's mind start working as he saw them. I think he will have a set soon...
