New Castle Brown Ale is good $h1!t.
Newcastle is good stuff. Mixed half and half with Blue Moon it's even better.
Been drinking König Ludwig Weiss (Royal Bavarian Hefe-Weizen) tonight. Not bad at all.
I grew up with that stuff in the house. In fact, come to think of it, I'm pretty sure my first sip of beer was Newcastle Brown......
Bass Ale is good, not cheap though.
Blue moon and Newcastle both are dang good.
Never tried them mixed
Newcastle is always my fallback beer if it's on tap. I usually run the selection of whatever bar I'm at and almost always end up finishing off the night with a couple Newcastles. Hard to beat unless they have Warsteiner Dunkel on tap.
Oh yeah, and if you want to talk mixing brews and you've got a good barkeep, try a Black and Tan. World famous mix that can be made with several brews, my personal favorite is Bass on Bottom, Guiness on top!
Also if your woman wants a good drink or if you like a sweeter brew, try a snakebite. Bass and a good cider mix (usually, Woodchuck) Good stuff and it'll sneak up on ya. whoa.
Downtown Brown (Lost Coast brewery) is really good
If you like stout their 8 Ball Stout is the bomb (better than Guinness if you ask me)
Fat Tire (it's an amber ale, but still yummy)
Hefe (Pyramid) is really good too
