Thorley Headers (who's got em?)

Looks great, I forgot you don't have to sorry about smog. I have to get the ones with those stupid air tubes attached to it. Anybody have any headers on with those air tubes?

Sorry I can't post up pics, but I have the THY-364 Y7-DA. They fit very well, have one large port for the AIR injection on each side, and no heat riser.
They are the ones for 4 to 6 inch lift also. Rock crawlers probably would not like them because the y-pipe goes under the front drive shaft.

They only issues I had were....

1) Cannot lower the transfer case too much. 3inch collector hits frame. Could possibly lower it around 1/2 inch.
2) Have to adjust your automatic shifter as it will hit the exhaust, keeping you from going into 2nd or 1st. (700R)
3) I had to use the passenger side Air tube on the drivers side, and drivers side air tube on the passenger side. This is because the fitting is not in the same location as the factory. But swapping them around they fit good enough.
4) Had to cut the factory A/C bracket because it will not go around the number one tube. Easily done, works great.

My did "blue" a little, but I actually broke my new motor in with them. (open headers, none the less.) I probably should have went with the heat riser option, as this would make mine totally emission compliant. But nobody has even notice here in Virginia.

Excluding my motor, these headers were the single most expensive item I have installed on my Jimmy. (until the D60 comes my way)

All in all, I would buy the Thorleys again.

What did you have to adjust? I swapped a 700r4 into mine and I had to cut the inside end of the shackle bolt down in order to get the shift bracket to pass by it. I took out my A/C so that wouldn't be an issue. How did it manage to hit the frame by the way with the collector? I plan on running true duals all the way back so I won't use the collector pipe. I have been corresponding with one of the Thorley techs. He says that the only difference between the part numbers for the 4-6 inch lift kit and normal header part number is that the Y-pipe was longer. I will probably have my muffler guy just to an H or an X pipe farther back, if even that. I was planning on going with the ceramic coated ones. How close did they come to your starter?
