My Thorley tri-y headers move the 02 sensor from the factory y pipe up to just the "first y" on the driver's side header (on only two cylinders).

I was wondering what everyone thinks about that. I kinda think that I should make plans to change to a 3 wire 02 at the collector so that the sensor is taking readings from an entire bank of cylinders. But maybe this won't be a problem at all. I have dual exhaust on the burb BTW.

Eh, with TBI, you are feeding 4 cylinders (and not one bank) from one injector, so it's somewhat not important.

However, if you lose a lifter, cam lobe, stud, etc., you wouldn't necessarily know that it was going on for awhile.

Personally I'd like to see both banks on the same sensor.

Mine goes closed loop with the sensor in the collector, and it's not heated. It DOES drop out once in awhile, (at idle) but comes back as soon as I increase RPM.

I have had the same set up in my truck for a couple of years and it seems to run fine with the occasional CEL when on the highway for extended periods.
