I'm fairly certain it was '87 that got the aux valve body.
'85 or '86 was the start of the larger input, 30spl vs. 27spl I think.
1987 was the first year for the aux valve body, mid 1984 got the 30 spline input shaft conversion. In addition to the aux valve body there were a host of other durability and performance upgrades starting in very late 1986 including pump upgrades,and improved sprag designs which make these a better candidate for any build, especially where demanding service is required.
