Tires a roastin

I used to roast the 33's on my old 88' stock 305ci blazer with the unlocked hub's and 4 lo technique.

Worked real good /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif
That's was back before i realized how much tire's and fine's would cost /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif

i roasted the tires on my k10, 350,700r4,208,10b w/2.73. i liked the 2.73, it got them spinning really fast in a short period of time.

my k20 can also spin them, 350,700r4,208 14bsf w/3.42 and govloc. takes longer than my k10 to get the tires smoking, but both tires spin with this truck.

if i had manual hubs i wouldn't be complaining. i got auto hubs, so no go. and my original question was should i change my gears to 3.73's or 4.10's.

i forgot to mention i have the limited slip. so, 4.10's it is. i dont think i need to buy anything special cept the limited slip lube right? and on that subject, what kind? full sythetic? brands? ball-park prices? thanks again guys. /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

and if yer real fancy u can power brake with a clutch, but it takes more skillz

[/ QUOTE ]

That just burns up the clutch. I have tried that numerous times, the back brakes are so damn huge, just cant overcome them, clutch slips before it gets a chance. Thats how I learned to slip it and stand on it! /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif It works!

[/ QUOTE ]I have basically the same problem but just that the converter slips and I can't brake stand either under a modest throttle input because my rear 2.5" drums are so strong. My rears lock up before the front discs.

Besides, with all this rubber burning talk...why? /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif Swampers are expensive and deep tread is a good thing! I'll leave the tire melting up to the muscle car guys. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

who said anything about me having swampers? i got a cheesy set of 32" BF AT's. lol. i got my good 32" AT's on my rally rims.

No problem here...with the right combo of gears, and power...I rarely do it because too much of that with the 1/2 ton parts will definitely break something. But on occasion I will roast them thru 1st and 2nd...gotta love those posi marks. Sometimes you just need to represent for the 4X4 guys...it definitely surprises a few people. With the Corvette 1st to 2nd servo...1st to 2nd chips are cool too. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

[/ QUOTE ]I guess when you get proven wrong, that's about all you can do. /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif But really, lets leave the audio equipment talk in the audio forum.

I can't roast my 33" tires with 3.08's , could never roast 31's or 32's for that matter . With my locker I can squeal in a parking lot though .

Spinning tires isn't all that , driving onto the Honda's and FLEXING is

yea what he said..

Where the F is my first gen brother RYAN??!! Where you at bro?
Gears will help you out in the quest for vaporizing rubber. Making sure the trans. is built and the motor in good, slightly modified condition would also help. My rig will chirp into second sometimes but I'm carburated. I have seen TBI trucks light 'em up though. Don't loose the faith. Also try some bleach on street next time /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

is it just me and my truck (350tbi/700R4/32's/stock gears) or is anyone else not able to roast their tires? im gettin royally pissed that i can't smoke 'em up and put some hondas to shame /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif...i know i should probably change the gears, but i wanna know if anyone else has this problem.

[/ QUOTE ]

LOL...I don't have that problem...
I can spin 4-44's!!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

But...
You're not missing much...except a bunch of broken parts.. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

I can spin my 35's.....but having a 388 and a 2000rpm stall helps. /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif

my 75 would murder tires on demand /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

locked 1 tons, 4.56 gears and turbo 400.....oh yea almoast forgot...healthy big block with a happy set of fresh heads /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif

burn them clean though a light and chirp second..makes a chirp from a honda seem like a joke, ah the howl of a swamper... /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif

those days are over though..I have no interest in abusing my dd or my tires and drive train anymore

once in a while is ok, but it is imature..and reckless too /forums/images/graemlins/usaflag.gif

With my new anti wrap bar, the K10 will bark tires on demand. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Only time my tires spin is off road though.

/forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Yep, it works though. I can't wait to get out on the trail and see what a difference it makes.
