tool cabinet, chest, rollaway, box

I have this setup, only in black.. Guess what I do for a living???

wrench?

anyone know how much more space the 52" SET will have compared to the 41" SET? Don't know which one would be best...bigger is mostly better, but I dont know if I can fork out that much cash at this point.

I know the big snap-on boxes are made in a plant in northern Iowa...I was offered a job hauling them out to customers. Cheap pay so no job for me. I've seen the plant and it says snap-on on the side of the bldg. The boxes I'm talking about are huge suckers, you only get 15 in a semi trailer....

With a box that big, the only thing you could possibly do for a living is work on Furds and Jeeps... =)

my dad has a 3 bay Tech 1000 roll cab, its currently living in our garage, but when he gets to go back to work, it'll take up residence right next to my Snap On... they even match, both black with chrome trim.

Buy a sh*tload of tools? :D :D

HAHA, well just about anything a guy needs. Actually I work on heavy equipment, dump trucks, and welding fabrication. I love the box, just ordered a left and right locker to complete the box after seeing this thread. As for other boxes, there are not so sturdy ones, but as long as you can lock up your investments(tools), it will work.

I got the 41" Costco one today... :pimp:

Same brand, style, and size as this, but the top drawer on the base cabinet is full width.

Waterloo makes the entry level Mac & Snap-On boxes but last time I checked they don't make the high end ones for either. My Waterloo/Craftsman combo works good for what it is. Boxs get abused too much where I work to buy a good one.

Actually that is a nice setup, I did buy one of those about a year ago for at home in the garage. Price was right too, all stainless was about $850ish out the door at Costco.

buy a good one, and you'll only have to buy one. my Snap On is guaranteed for life. we've got a couple of guys with 25 year old Snap On boxes who had drawer guide problems. Snap On fixed them free of charge.

What do you have to store? I have to store EVERYTHING because tools have been walked off with, even top boxes have been taken from the shop. I just have a Craftsman friction 26" 3 drawer bottom, 4 drawer top and a Companion roll-around. That fits A LOT of stuff 1/4" thru 3/4", air tools, wrenches from 1/4" to 2" (two sets) pliers, sledge, books, pry bars....everything. It's a tough box, had it for four years and haven't had one problem with it. If you have stuff that's a lot of weight, just spread it out. Hell, you're gonna have MORE than enough room if you get the 40" Friction boxes (top bottom). The 40" is 1/2 the price of the 53" Ball Bearing. It's up to you though. I'm gettin me the 56" Craftsman Professional. Should be more than enough for what I have now, and I can get the top box later.

Everything will be going into it, except air tools and some of the bigger powertools. But anything I can fit since I dont have many good drawers in the garage.
