How can you tell if you have a 203 or 208 transfer case?
208 is all aluminum. 203 is mostly cast iron and nearly as big as your transmission. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
208 doesn't have a fixed yoke on it. 208 has a slip-yoke.
I've got a 208 and it's stamped right on the back of it. Does your's not have this?
I don't know anything about 203's but I thought they were full time 4wd. I am probably wrong about that though.
My 203 was fulltime. I think most were. If its 81-88 or 89 should be a 208.90 and 91 241. Unless its been changed.
