transmission rear mount destruction

Gentlemen; I am on my third rear mount and just sheared the rigid steel rod on the right side that connects the transfer case to the bell housing engine joint. 1986 K5 383ci 700r4 6"plus lift 4:56 gears. Any ideas

Sheesh. Try going with urethane engine and tranny mounts. The strut rod from the xfer case will need to be replaced else the case may crack (208/241) if it has not already.
