Well I have some sunshine after all the rain I have had this week. I have been in touch with Treadwright about their tires and got some good news in an email today.

--------------------------------------------------------
We would be willing to give you a set of tires with the following conditions:
1. Must post on a minimum of 7 pre-determined forums and/or blog posts.

2. Must display a minimum of 3 TW stickers on the vehicle for the duration of running the tires.

3. Must do at least 2 follow ups on each of the 7 forums and/or blogs posts.

4. Must submit photos of the sponsored vehicle running TW tires in various conditions and/or venues.

a. Photos submitted to TW will become the property of TW to use exclusively at their discretion. By submitting the photos to TW you acknowledge that your are giving ownership of the photo material to TW for their use at no further compensation.

We would also like for you to take either the Sentinel or the Warden, as the Puma will most likely be discontinued in the next year or two.

If you agree to the terms let me know and we will get the ball rolling for you!

Now do I go with load C (max 2,205lbs) or Load E (max 3,042) These will be going on the 1993 Blazer.

Here is their site on tire https://www.treadwright.com/p-34-245-75r16-warden-a-t-e.aspx

Look EXACTLY like a bfg all terrain?? You probably dont need the E tires. A 1993 blazer is supposed to ride like a Cadillac anyways.

I know it rides like a police Crown Vic and I hate it. It is a truck not a car....grrrrrrrrr

So ya think the C will be good?

Are you towing? Do you load it up all the way and drive down rough roads at speeds? I think that c should be okay.

I had set on my Exploder in past......was pretty happy with those. They took a lot weights to balance thou. Load of heavy plastic BB's took care of that. They look almost like bfg's but the pattern is just a slightly off. They did the same with their mud terrains, almost similar to older GY Wranglers but the tread pattern spacing is slightly different. But would definitely buy a new set again :waytogo:

Warden (formerly ATB): The Warden is a very aggressive, all terrain pattern designed to provide excellent traction and handling both on and off-road. Excellent wear capabilities combine with great go anywhere traction. The Warden is an aggressive, high-void, all-terrain pattern with interlocking tread blocks and abundant siping to provide traction and handling without generating excessive noise. Upper sidewall traction bars maximize performance by providing the clawing action necessary to develop traction and steering control in deep dirt and sand.

WITH KEDGE GRIP

Kedge Grip: Our own unique blend of crushed (recycled) glass and crushed walnut shell particle blended into our full grade truck rubber. Kedge Grip acts in a twofold way; first the walnut shell is designed to come out leaving small (approximately 1 mm) size pits in the tread surface that will act as additional siping and create more traction edges to grip the road. The second is the crushed glass which is designed to stay in longer and create a gritty surface to help anchor you to the road. Does it really work? Don’t take our word for it, read some of the testimonials. Also, check out the 4Wheeler magazine (though under a different name that we are not allowed to use any longer due to trademark issues) in the August 2009 issue. They consistently had excellent results with our Kedge Grip.

The tread voids are bit different....to avoid any lawsuits. @ least I've got that info on their mud terrains. I would say a few 1/16"s here, there......
But who cares, great tires for great price!!!!

ALOT of trooper guys run theyre tires and seem very happy with them.

If you want the tires to last forever then get the Es.

I have the wardens on my 03 2500hd and love them. I also have a set on my wifes jeep and have two friends that have them. Never had any problems with them.

Yea there are not to many reviews on them so that is why they are willing to give them to me. I told them I had done a review on the BFGs and about CK5. I am thinking the Es too just in case I tow anything better safe. Beside I hate smooth rides why I never liked Caddys.

I have 2 seasons plowing on the pair I have now and they don't even look worn. Theres no soft sidewalls when I hook to my trailer. Just watch what size you get case I have 285's on my 03 and on the wifes jeep I put 30's and the tread pattern is differnent.

I've got the Guard Dog M/T's (old MTR tread pattern) on my crew cab and have beat the snot out of 'em in the rocks and they're holding up great! They're on BFG A/T carcasses, I love the looks I get when people read the sidewalls and ask WTF!

Have a set of 285 wardens on my towrig. Great so far. BFG A/T tread on BFG A/T carcasses.

Copied what I replied on another board on these and another thread on them here:

I'm on my second set. First set was the MT/G's (Guard Dog) in 285/75 with the walnut shell ****. They worked awesome off road, we're good on the street. They wore out in 18k miles/18 months and were seperating at the shoulder lugs from the carcass. They had dry rot around the bead protector (BFG All-Terrain cases) from the beginning, and held fine as long as they were on the truck. Never had a flat or any loss of air.

Treadwright offered a warranty that I couldn't turn down, so I thought I'd give them another shot. This time I went with the All-Terrain tread (Warden) without the walnut **** as I attribute it to at least partial fault of the quick wear of the last ones. Out of the new set of 4, I had to send one back as it would not balance. (Again all BFG A/T cases) I had to balance them 4 times, finally doing a road force balance and they are still not perfect. Overall, I spent an extra $100 on balancing trying to get rid of all the shimmy. These have been on for 7 months or so, but only 4-5k miles so time will tell if these will last longer than the last set or not.

All in all, I will not be buying these again.

I've run two sets of Treadwrights, both on my Tacoma in a 285/75/16. First set was the old MTR tread design with the Green Diamond. They worked awesome offroad, decent on the road, great in the snow/ice, and good in the rain. These had dry rot around the rim protector from the beginning. After 18 months and about 18k miles, the shoulder lugs started separating from the sidewalls. The tread was also done at this point.

I wasn't going to get another set from them, but thought I would call and see if they would do anything. They offered me a new set for half price, so I got the BFG All Terrain design this time without the kedge grip hoping for some longer life out of them since I spend most of my time on the street. One of the four had to be exchanged because it just would not balance. The rest of them and the replacement took a few times to get them balanced correctly too. I had about 10 months and maybe 10k miles on them when I totaled the truck and they were wearing great. There was one that was starting to crack around the rim protector at this point. The all terraings were good on the street, good offroad, great on slickrock, good in the snow, sucked on wet pavement, and ****ty on ice. My .02

I will never buy them again. When I get a chance, I will do a write up.

Multiple times balancing and weeks later... they finally sent me a new set.
