trouble with front LED blinkers

hey guys, my blazer had both front and rear side marker and brake LED lights when i bought it, my front bumper blinkers were stock up until when i removed them last week for the new bumper i'm building. ive never had an issue with the blinker system before except for the rusty bumper blinkers losing their ground from time to time. but today i got some amber LED blinkers from six states and now that they're wired in my blinker doesn't work anymore, what i mean is that my front and rear blinkers get bright when i flip the turn signal on but they wont dim, they just stay bright and my dash bulb stays turned on.. right now i'm just going up and down manually with the signal switch to change lanes or turn, but so far i cant figure out why its doing this.. my grounds are all good, ive double checked the wiring and it is correct. do you guys have any ideas?

Look into a flasher that isn't thermal, get one that says electronic or led compatible

The resistance of the LED is different from your stock bulb and is causing a problem with the flasher. As Justin V said, you can try a different flasher. I had LED tail lights in a work truck and it caused the flashers to be too fast. I installed a "dummy load" from the parts store and it fixed them. It is just a resistor in series that substitutes for the old bulbs resistance. This may also be a solution to your problem.

Are they two wires, one black and one white? Did you ground the black one? if so I would bet they are self grounding lights and the 2 wires are both power..one for running lights and one for turn signals

I actually tried this on the way home from work last night, all it did when I installed it (the sylvanias) was make the lights brighter and then they didn’t blink at all.
I took what Justin V said and I dug around some more and found these blinkers off jegs that reverse the polarity And are supposed to work with LEDs, so I’m gonna have to wait and try those once they get here

Are they two wires, one black and one white?

It’s a three wire light, white is ground, black is running light and red is the blinker wire. It’s that style where it mounts into a flange with a rubber grommet so it needed a ground wire, i made sure the ground was was hooked up good to

No, with the lights unplugged it acts the same.
I bet if I were to wire in the old lights the rear lights would probably work

I had a similar issue and changing out the flasher fixed it. I need to get a second one for the emergency flashers as they stay solid when I turn them on.

Napa sells an LED flasher also. It is square and didn't fit in the round hole in my '81 fuse panel so made little jumper wires and zip tied it next to the fuse panel.
