Anybody have any 81-87 cup washers for the body mounts on a truck they want to get rid of? I started to pull mine off this weekend and they are in pretty bad shape and I just cant justify paying over $11 shipped from LMC.

Make them. Or spend a fortune at lmc truck. Few minutes with the plasma and chop saw, then welder. They are 1/8" 3" circle in diameter. And 1.5 schedule 40 pipe cut to 1/2" pieces.

Not a paying member but I'm pretty sure I get what you're saying. My other thought was to just weld up the pitting in these and grind them back into shape.

Don't know as it will help, but I drilled a hole in the "washer cups" on mine to try and keep water from collecting in there. If I take them off, I'll know whether it made a difference or not.

I recall using some 4" round electrical boxes and cover plates on one of my older pickups that needed new cab mount rubber bushings--local sources had the bushings, but no metal hardware...they didn't fit "perfect" but close enough to satisfy me..

If any of the parts stores had some huge freeze plugs I would have got those instead...they didn't,and I was in a hurry--the electrical boxes were cheap and available nearby so I went with them..

Did you ever find anything? I just removed my body mounts yesterday and need just 1 upper and 1 lower retainer. LMC truck are ridiculous. I found that classic industries has the upper piece for $5.99 I believe it was, but I did not see the lower piece.

Only the first one I pulled was pitted, the rest were in good shape. I just filled the pitting and ground it smooth, sandblasted all of them, painted and re-installed.

Anyone looked them up in the parts manual, to see if GM is still selling them? Usually if they are still available LMC resells them as "OEM", so you'd likely know from that, but always worth a shot to check.
