Can someone please confirm the process to change a leaky Turbo 350 detent cable seal? Remove pan, remove filter, find end of cable, remove pin, pull cable, change seal, re-assembly in reverse?
Thanks in advance.

77 Blazer frame & running gear, 63 GMC stepside body, all redneck.

I believe you can do it without pulling the pan. Pull the bolt holding the cable to the trans, disconect the cable and change the seal that way. I know you can change the cable without pulling the pan...I don't see how the seal would be any differnt.
