so the other day my blinkers were acting funny, as in lighting up for a few seconds longer than usual before blinking off, and then staying off longer than usual, then all of a sudden they stopped working altogether. i know when a flasher goes out then the light just stays on and doesnt blink, but now they dont come on at all. so anybody know exactly what's going on here? or perhaps where to start, besides the fuses of course. thanks..

If a bulb goes out they won't blink. Are they lighting up at all?
Fuses, grounds, bulbs, sockets, wires. See if your emergency flashers work.

make sure you have enough blinker fluid.

oh, c'mon. i wasn't the only one thinking that. it's not old, it's classic.

seriously, though. a bad ground is one of the usual suspects in almost any whacky electrical behavior. shunt is another. also, connectors get rattled loose with offroading. i'd start by making sure everything is solid. see if things change as you wiggle a wire.

yeah i checked the emergency flashers, they worked fine. so im kind of at a loss. and where is my 'blinker fluid'??? haha, what's disturbing is how many people you can actually tell that to..
