i just put my new tv cable and i can't get it adjusted right. I've done everything iv read about. the line has tension and when i put it to wot the it "ratchets" out but when i let off the throttle the cable loosens up. I'm at my wits end with this thing please help!

thanks

you shouldn't have to pull it out... it should release when you let off it before you go to WOT... that sounds like your issue...

is this the stock throttle and bracket config?

ya everything is stock i got the adjustable cable from monster transmissions and made it the same length as the old one I'm gunna call them in the morning because the piece that hooks on the throttle body is messed up too

I got nothing.. sounds like an issue with the cable.. wouldn't be surprised with monster...

I would make sure once you go WOT and it clicks out and you release the throttle, that the button has actually released by trying to move the sheath towards the firewall.... like you do when you initially push the button... if the button is released and it clicks out, it should stay in that spot if the d button is out..

Greg D our trans guy should stop in with some insight hopefully..

the problem is when it returns from wot it slacks out for some reason i may call bowtie transmission and order one from them and be done with it...

It does sound like a cable issue, that should lock down tight when released unless it is being over stroked, hopefully the new one will be better.

If the cable is disconnected from the throttle does the tranny pull it back in? Either the spring inside the tranny is bad or the cable is bad. I like the stock style cables better than aftermarket.
