Tweakers Rule!!! 1 Ton Score!!!!!!

So I was at work the other day and a Buddy stops by to BS. He told Me about this POS crankster who has a 1 ton Chevy for sale and I should check it out. Well I found it Yesterday and this guy was needing some dope money pretty bad I guess. It's a 79 DRW, Dana 60/70, 350, TH400/NP203. So I asked How much, and He said $200. I was down at the bank so fast it would make Your head spin.
The body is rusted and beat up so Im just gonna get the good stuff for the Blazer ( 60 front end, TH400/NP203, hydro brake booster) and I'll sell off the rear end and engine to get My money back. Then I'll junk the rest of it.

That's cool, I've been thinkin' that I would have rathered go that route than the 60/14 combo I'm building just to run the h1's. But of course I'm not complaining about the 4.56's and the detroit that came loaded in mine

I have found a very similiar score. a 1ton with 60/70drw. And I was planning the samething keep the 60 engine, tranny and case and sell of the rest. So what are the advantages to the dana 70 over a 14ff. Sorry if I'am highjacking.

No, as a matter of fact they don't come into Our town. Theres not enough places to steal from. But You can still swerve at them out on the highway. They can run pretty fast when they need to

I got this truck from some tweakers as well. They needed to get rid of it real fast because it was about to get towed away. The apartment complex they lived in wanted to tow it away because it had two year old tags on it, and had been sitting in the same parking spot for too long. They first told me $2000 for it, but after finding out they where motivated sellers, I told them "$1500 cash...right now, take it or leave it"...they took it!

I scored a 1979 GMC K35, d60 front 14bolt rear w 4.10's, rollbar, dual gas tanks and wiring, new radiator, factory tach and tons of other parts.... 3" body lift and 4" susp lift with 38" gumbo mudders for $500... sold my front d44 and the 14bolt out of this truck and viola.... $250 for my core!!!!!!!!
