When I hook the linkage to the 205 it hits the doubler adapter before it lines up with the bottom of the shifter. Sorry no picks, it was dark when I gave up. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Factory 465/203 set up
ORD Doubler kit (2" up rotation)
ORD twin stick shifters bolted flush to the OE adapter
stock 205, stock 205 linkage

Btw, no instructions with the kit and no related info on the ORD site.

If the rain will quit I'll try for some pics tonight.

Ok, I went out and looked at it some more and figured it out. I was trying to hook up the 205 to the inboard shifter because I have the 203 shifter lever on in the stock orientation (offset out) so that lines up with the outer shifter. I'll flip the 203 lever over and everything should fit fine.

The instructions included in my kit were for a 205 twin stick kit (not a doubler) so I was shooting in the dark to begin with.

Damn it this is frustrating, I still can't get this to work.

Is there a difference between a 205 twin stick kit and a twin stick doubler shifter kit?

When I bought this (several years ago) I got a doubler kit and twin stick shifter kit at the same time. Recently when I went to install all of this I noticed the shifter kit had instructions for a twin stick 205 set up.

After looking at pics from other folks I have successfully hooked up the 205 linkage to the outer shifter. My problem now is the OE lever on the 203 - If installed with the lower offset outward it hits the 205 linkage. If I flip it over with the lower offset towards the 203 the lever itself bottoms out against the case and binds.

Here is a pic of my lever (I think this was from a '79 400/203) -

I noticed that my lever has a lot more offset than the 4th pic down in this post -

Is that lever an ORD part? Am I missing something/parts?

What about the lever on the 203, OE or ORD?

all my stuff is ord.

minus my 203 range box. used the arm from ord kit.

205 is new modifyed shift rails for twin stick ord.

and all brackets and levers are ord.

Ok, that's my problem then because my kit did not include a new lever for the 203. I'll call them Monday and get one.

Thanks!

Will do! I'll check that pic Stephen emailed me when I get home (damn work filters) and compare. :thumb:
