Twizted's Front Winch Cradle

not to nit pick but didnt i just read or watch somewere that winches at 10k lbs be mounted bolt holes out the front and not down like yours ?

unless your setup is rated for under this .

just trying to clearify and understand. nice product tho :thumb:

If you look back and read through this thread, there were a few posts where I explained this in detail... The winches are perfectly fine mounted in either direction, as long as your bolts are tight. I have no problems with anyone fitting a 10,000lb winch into this cradle :)

Good to know about some winches being clockable. I will have to look at mine.
As far as the mud, I was just thinking how it seems to me that most of the time when out here, the dirt makes fairly sticky mud due to the clay content and when I ran a wrecker, you could pick up rocks in the mud quite easily.
Keep up the cool work!!

The tucked-under mounting of the winch is exactly what I want, but I'm not sure what I think of the piecewise solution to get an entire bumper. Do you have an integrated bumper design with the hidden winch? Buying just the center gives a lot of options for making the rest of the bumper whatever style I want, but with the center ending right on the frame rails, it seems difficult to tie more plate in cleanly. Any ideas?

The open front looks like a mud/snow scoop to me, but I guess it's not much different from most winch bumpers. The winch is somewhat protected under the rad support, but also harder to clean and you probably can't put one of those vinyl covers on it.

can you make or offer one for a 85 m1008 chevy k30

Sure can. Check out the continued thread of this product under the new company here: http://coloradok5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=307190

You'll see one a little more than half-way through the thread on a '86 M1009 and he even put the CUCV grill guard back on over it. Also, towards the end of that thread, make sure you look at the new one-piece design since it is slightly different with the front mounting bolts not there anymore.
PM me if you have any questions about it!
