I have two 14-bolt 8-lug full floaters I need to get out of the way. I pulled them from trucks I parted out so I don't know a lot about them other than they're 85 models. One is SRW,the other duals. $150 apiece or $250 for the pair, come get 'em. Sorry, can't ship.

I might have a friend interested in the srw 14 bolt, is there any way you would be able to see what ratio the axle has? Let me know.

Regards,
Remington

Best I can tell, the stamp on the axle tube is "GMH G1051" on the single rear wheel axle. Does any one know what this decodes to?

need to pull the dif cover and read what is typically stamped or laser inscribed into the outer rim of the ring gear. Yu may have to spin the tires to make the gear spin and the numbers should be the last 4 or 5 #'s of a lenghty series of numbers. Just post up all the letters and numbers on the edge of the ring gear.

I was under the impression that the axle tube stamp could tell what the original gears were and if it was factory equipped with a posi - that's the way it is with most of the older cars I've messed with. I don't want to have to pull the cover and go thru that mess if I don't have to. Any reason I can't turn one wheel and count the turns of the pinion to determine ratio like I've done on other cars and trucks?

Yes. Forget the exact procedure but it is a decently accurate way of getting the ratio but not exact.

I got the springs off of both of 'em, somebody come for 'em and I'll sell both for $200. Axles are the same in both, they just use different flanges for DRW versus SRW, housings are in good shape. I just need 'em out of my way but don't want to give 'em away. Will consider reasonable swaps as well.

Yes, I do. I have an interested party but don't know if he wants the SRW or DRW. You can call me during the day at (806) 535-1516.

I make it to Austin from time to time on business, might be able to meet you somewhere in the middle if the local deal I have working falls thru. I also buy, sell and trade a lot of big and small block engine parts and blocks, keep me in mind when you're looking for something.
