I have the front painted up to the a-pillar, the color is nickel and looks real close to the color of bare metal. My grill is now 29" wide, just a little off the sides with a dremel and it's good to go.
Still have tons of "little" stuff to do that takes a lot of time but need to have it ready to go by the end of next month, I will be moving then and that is right before EJS so not a lot of time left. :doah:

Right now I just want to finish painting the damn thing and a muffler etc. then go through some of the wiring but at least it runs and drives. I will worry about panels this summer when I have more time and the weather is nice.

Bought a house a few miles from the old place, not sure yet on dates for EJS but I will be there.
And yes, carnage this summer (BV) and more than once.

All the tube work was done by OffRoad Design, they do plan on making a 3 seat like mine as well as a 2 and 4 seat version, give them a call and drop off your K5. :pimp:

The widest part is at the shoulder bar at 56" then it tapers down a little to 54" at the top of the boat sides then tapers down to the frame from there.
The objective was to get a full width Blazer as narrow as possible (eliminate it's main drawback) and still retain brake assembly etc.. I cut the auto brake pedal down to a standard tranny size brake pedal (more room on the left side) and we ditched the factory steering column so it could be moved over to the right.

    Steve,

Are you going to do a full writeup on the changeover? I would like to see more pics of this rig. Looks killer.

I finally have my S-TON wheelable and will post up pics soon. Already have the extended cab caved in and window busted out from the last trip. Next rig is a Buggy! :thumb:

Motor comes out with the aid of a sawsall. We discovered a while ago that you can save time and coin up front with a weld in engine crossbar and then worry about getting the engine out down the road.
