universal aluminum radiator install

yes. i have a mark VII fan. people say they are bad a$$ (we'll see). it fits perfect top to bottom. problem is it leaves about 2" in each side of the core un-shrouded. its an 18" fan. hopefully it can cool my big block. what do you guys think?

Most likely it will be fine. How much space will there be to the engine once the fan is there? What doesthe Mark iv fan look like?

im gonna have to trim the shroud a little because it hits but after that i'll have about half an inch. it looks like this. also came in taurse

Nice install

the people
at radiators.com said they only make them now
aluminum with plastic tanks. does anyone know
why or if its even true?
I bought my alum rad locally last year for $220 was about $15 more then the reg 4core.

I ordered it from there. I ordered it online then picked it up locally a few hours later. Also might want to call to see if they have any other that would fit your app. I know my rad wasn't even listed on the website but they looked it up and found the right one for my truck.

Looks like I am looking for another method. Just wish there was a way to do it that wouldn`t be so time consuming. Here`s the issue I`m having now.

I think the lower lip of the rad support may be bent down, but I`m not 100% sure....Anywho...

Here`s how it sits with the mount flat on the top of the rad support,

and if i push the front down

Maybe I do need some of your mounts

The way I have it now, the driversside mount barely reaches the radiator

nek5 you might be able to make that work. hold the bracket flat then almost fill most of the gap on the front of the bracket with a washer or two leaving enough of a gap that when you tighten down the bolts it will clamp down tight and flat. hard to explain but do you see what im saying.
