Anybody running there 203 range box upside down? Any problems with leaking out the shifter linkage hole??

a crapload of ground clearance. you'll have a completely flat belly.

youd also have a flat belly with a flat 203/ 205...

Why not 180* the other way and have the shifter on top? This is for the blazer, no?

I "could" have a flat belly if i brought my crossmember up another 1". you can barely see it but i have other pics.---only the 205 is rotated 5 degrees.

Not entirely sure how any of this will work out anyway. i have a figure 8 pattern 465 and to turn the 203 over I may have to build an entirely new adapter between the trans and t case.

if you buy the NWF you can clock to make it work. the ATOR kit you tell them how you want it and they weld it up that way.

But then how do you handle the clocking of the 203 with how it relates to the trans/tcase adapter? I really need to get all the parts together in one place so I can look at them together.

if you get a 32 spline 465, with the round 6 hole adapter all you need is a 32 spline 203. then you just redrill the face of the 203 for the clocking that you want.;)

Yeah, I have the figure 8 pattern on the 465.

I understand that but 32 spline 465's arent hard to comeby. the ones with 208's behind them will work as well.

This one had a 208 behind it but I believe the shaft was swapped in. Not real sure what the deal is on all of these parts I've collected for this. Been away from it for far too long and now I have to figure out where I was going.

Stomper, You coming up this weekend to help me sort this junk out????

remember all 465s are figure 8, its the adapters that are circle 6 bolt or figure 8. so if it had a 208 wouldnt it have a round 8 bolt or did you switch the shaft to a 10 splin and got a 465-203 adapter?

UMMM, can't remember. It had a 208 on it. The adapter is a, umm can't remember that eiter. I have a 465 203 adapter and a 465 208 adapter. It's a mess but I'll figure it out. The 208 is for sure the round but not sure what the 203 is. Either way the shaft is too long for the 203 but you knew that. I'll get it figured out yet. No biggy. Guess I could redrill the face of the 203 to accomodate the 208 adapter with it in the upside down clocked position. Should be pretty simple to make everything fit between the frame rails without the transfercase off to the side.

Yeah, I will be up one day, don't know how much help I'll be tho:laugh:. Not sure which day yet, hoping I have to make a parts run near Des Moines, I'll know more specifics tomorrow night. Terry's going to hate me:ignore::deal::haha:

Easiest method to mate a flipped NP203 to a SM465 is to use the NP208 32 spline version and adaptor. This will allow you to orient the 203 as you wish, and then drill the 6 mounting holes into the face of the NP203.

We can also make a custom clocked SM465/NP203 adaptor that will match factory length. This will work with the 10 spline connection or an aftermarket 32 spline tailshaft.
