Urgent truck missing

Here in Ohio you have to have something in writing or there isnt any proof that you owe the storage place any money. I wish luck man.

Thats what im thinking. Im thinking he is giving too much info to the cops. He needs to say, he has my truck without permission, and i never signed anything to keep it anywhere.

I dunno man....

In sac, if I report it stolen... It's stolen property.
Regardless of hear-say.

Doesn't even matter if they produce a storage contract.
It's still reported stolen.

Sounds like you need to know the laws better. (Read: better armed with legal info.)
There NO SUCH THING as NO.

Have you posted on GL4wd or whatever that big 4x4 forum group is?
I'd plaster it on all of the sites in the region. Also Pirate.
I see they found it but that should soread the word about it and help keep it in one place.

Report it stolen in the city where it was. Tell them where it was stored and now its gone. Give them the name of the guy that knows where it is and that he knows who has it but will not tell you. I bet the cops will get the info.

If the cops won't help, check with some repo people. Proof of ownership and a couple hundred can work wonders.

Well here is a update, the guy is trying to claim I abandoned the stuff and the truck, which I have enough communication on record to show that this is not the case and my stuff was moved before the 90 days had gone by. So i went and hired a lawyer to sue the guy. I went with the lawyer and tried to pay the guy with a money order and he refused :D so my lawyer gave him a card and we left, about a hour later my lawyer called me and said he had received a call from the dude, and thats where its at, my lawyer should be speaking with the guy today at some point, i am hoping being that he called my lawyer that quick he is ready to resolve this before it makes it to court.

hope you get your truck back

Thanks

If the guy does not want to deal and it goes to court my lawyer said with the evidence of them trying to sell it the judge should release the car to me on bond so they cant damage it/ make it disappear during the court proceedings.

Glad to here they didn't sell it.
keeping in mind this is public forum, after this is all said and done you gotta give us a blow by blow of how things went down.
It sounds like there is a light at the end of the tunnel.... odds are its not a train for once:waytogo:

wow hope evrything works out and you get your truck back. I was storing my Blazer at a buddies shop with no contract just a handshake.
In the back of my mind thinking that this type of thing could happen.
I ended up getiing it out of there and just keeping it at my house.

Cant imagine how that feels. good luck
