Well they look good, but the test will be to see if they are really true and hold air.
I do like the fact that he finally went with the torque ring centers too, they look safer than the plate rims.

I never said anything about him making the centers, did I? He told me that he is having them made. I don't care if he designed them or not, try to get High Angle Driveline to tell you who provides parts for his shafts and driveline ebrakes, he won't tell you where he gets them. Why should Daniel? Protecting your parts sources is part of running a successful business.
I resent the fact that you seem to think I'm some unwitting mouthpiece for USA6x6. I'm not attaching my reputation to him, I'm simply reporting on a set of rims that I got from him. What am I going to do, tell him to shove off instead of getting another set of free rims that might be usable? If I do decide to get another set of free rims (obviously I did), should I just not post about the rims I get? I posted about the crappy ones I had before, so why not these ones too?
Daniel did not know that I was going to post anything about this. I assume he knows that I'm on CK5. He knows that his reputation is crap right now, he's trying to work through it. There are alot more people out there than just CK5ers and PBB users. Maybe he'll screw them all, maybe he realizes that customer service isn't enough and he has to make quality product too, maybe he eats Mormon babies for breakfast every day. I don't know, and it really isn't my business. What IS my business is that I have a usable set of rims now.
I didn't realize that it was against the rules to make a post about a good product from USA6x6. I've gotten shitty products from them too, probably more shitty products than anyone else on CK5. I've paid for 1 set of rims. That set sucked. He sent me another set. That set sucked less, but still sucked. He sent me a third set of rims. So far that set seems pretty good, but time will tell. So far I have paid for one set of rims, the first set. No shipping, no nothing except that one set of rims. So sure, he put out shitty product he lied to people, whatever. MY point in THIS post is that I now seem to have a decent set of rims; I personally don't care how you feel about anything that doesn't relate to me having a usable set of rims. If you don't want to buy anything from Daniel then that's fine, I don't care, it's not my business.
I'll make sure to never make a post about another product that doesn't already have everyone oohing and ahhing over it. i bought some cucv m1008 axles from him. they were supposed to be complete. the front had no calipers, spider gear, ring, or nearing caps or carrier.
i was given a set of rims free and they had leaks in 2. i had them welded up and they are for the most part fine. my best suggestion to you or anyone else is to pay a DOWNPAYMENT, and in good faith he should try and clear his name by trying to do just that. i would buy another set from him. im not a fan of the plate wheels, and really want a new set from him. i like the new centers.

I do like that style of wheel center much better than the flat plate. They look just like the ones Esteban had done at Taylor Wheel. I wish this style had caught on before now, I would have bought these centers.

My friend bought a set of recentered wheels from him. I told him to inspect the wheels before the UPS guy left (the UPS guy is awesome, give him a can of Coke and unload the truck yourself and he'll make sure your stuff gets delivered early). Sure as [darn], the two wheels he checked had more than 1/8" runout. The wheels left with the UPS guy and a stop payment got put on the transaction. Daniel was cool in the fact that he refunded the money without issue even though my friend said he didn't want any other wheels.
Hopefully Daniel turns his business around but I won't be buying anything from him unless it's an incredible deal. And I don't think he can afford to give people "an incredible deal" when he's battling his past.

Yup we used to have vendors making our wheels... they were crooked... they were crappy welds and one even broke on a customer here. -Terrible. And to add insult to injury they were never done on time...Huge late deliveries. That was more than a year ago.
Customer Service-
There has NEVER been one customer from these Old wheels that told us there was a problem and we refused to fix it. NEVER. If they dont tell us... we dont know.

Was the 3rd set we ever did from the old vendors. everytime they would "correct it" it was something else bad... We Do NOT use vendors anymore.. all... in house.
Shaggy and another Mod here is testing our wheels soon. You all will see a full report on our GEN3 wheels then.

I bought the old style wheels from Daniel back in the day, the tube style, they were wibbly wobbly and had a, umm, malfunction. Anyway, Daniel called my house the morning I got home from the trip within like 8 minutes of me walking in the door, still don't know how he did that... Anywho, he immediately shipped me some of his then "new plate style" centers with some bitchen flames. They are still a bit wibbly wobbly and out of round but not nearly as bad as the others. I have no question on the strength of these wheels I am running and have no problems with them, I ran them on the street as a daily driver for about 10 months with no problems. And thats on a 9k pound trail truck.
Anyway, to the point, I am happy with Daniel's customer service and product, I have no real complaints about my wheels, they are a custom product and were purchased when his company was just starting out so it's a gamble anyway. And I've never lost a bead /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I guess you can add me to the list of Danny Supporters, if that makes you all butt hurt and mad, oh well.
