C1090blazer
1/2 ton status
Income tax comes and I will have between 6200 dollars to spend on my 1990 k5 blazer ...it has front Dana 44 and 14ff ..4.10 gears...it doesn't have a motor ,transmission ,transfer case,or driveshafts,.....question 1 should I just get a good donor 1990 suburban mainly cause they go for 1500 and for the np 241 that i want ...which will be runnin and pick it clean for the drivetrain other than axles...sell the motor make 500...because I want the 6.0 out of a 2006 Chevy HD ..it cost 2200 with 70,000 miles...or 8.1 same year 80,000 miles for 2400....and I still want 8 inch lift with 35"s ....the blazer will be use for weekend hunting fishing, camping and pulling a bass boat .....i need all input....whats the best way to stretch the money......thanks

Yeah Shaun but me and my son thats 6 has had IT for 7 years....its line-x inside ,white face gauges and no rust what's so ever...so getting rid of it is defiantly out of the question....and we the ck5 guys build our rigs not buy them already done from what it sounds like u do.... So that's not a logically thing to do....
and dont worry, ive built every single inch of my truck in my driveway
but im sure ur kid will enjoy this truck! having $6200 is a lot, lucky u! i would just shop around for seperate parts and not get the donor truck, thats just my opinion. u just need a tranny and t-case right? it seems easier to do that.
. If you look around you may be able to pick up a 3/4 ton burb. One with a 454, then your engine is covered and you can put the $2200 into an EZefi or F.A.S.T unit. Probably a simpler swap and you'll have full control of tuning.
