Vintage Chevy identification (round 2)

Could it be a Buick with a different front cover to move the distributor position? It looks like the top hose hits the motor in a slightly different position. Maybe a different cover to accommodate use in the truck?

Update: sorry all, people dragging their feet but finally got dump truck in possession and hot wired to drive home. The infamous question as to what the engine is has been answered. Turns out it is a big block dodge 413 ci from a 1972 pickup that somebody swapped in. Runs great, lots of power. Doesn't look like a big block. Both myself and my partner swore it wasn't but after finding and running the numbers, it is.

Thanx for the help all. Don't think their was a grand winner on this investigation. Lol.

Little late to the party, but yeah aside from the front distributor the Big block Mopar bears a striking resemblance to the Chevy small block.

Ok. So we know the motor is a 413 dodge big block industrial version. Now on to help identify the tranny. Believe it came with the 413 but not certain. It is a manual 5spd with a pto output shaft that turns a hydraulic pump. See attached pics for the few numbers i was able to locate so far.

Located a broken cross member below the tranny but that didn't even matter cause it's not attached to the tranny at all. Never was from the looks of it. Well be changing that soon. As it sits now, everything is riding on the motor mounts.

Will a standard chevy HEI fit in this engine?
No.

The Mopar distributor is a two piece affair. The cam gear/oil pump driver is a separate assembly that the Mopar distributor keys into. Nothing like the GM piece.
