Who has not seen this movie yet? If you haven't seen it, your missing out on something GOOD!!!
I really want to do something but my better instincts tell me not toooo....
RJ, no guts, no glory buddy. JUST DO IT!
what the hell are you talking about anyways?
Nah, it'd be mean
It's a biographical pic about country legend Johnny Cash's early years, from his childhood days up until he marries his lifelong love June Carter in 1968. It explores Mr. Cash's highs of attaining success as a musician but also delves deep into his dark battles with drug addiction and his personal life spiralling out of control, and also showcases June Carter's courage in helping Cash win the battles against his demons.
Joaquin Phoenix (Gladiator, Signs, Ladder 49) portrays Cash and Reese Witherspoon (Legally Blonde) portrays Carter, and I believe both deserve the Best Actor and Actress Oscars for this performance. The acting's that good, and also, both Phoenix and Witherspoon did all their own singing and playing, and the music is just as awesome. You HAVE to see this movie.
My mom wanted to see it because she was raised up listening to music in the style that Cash played. I wanted to see it to mostly hear the music, but the storyline touched me too
I think most people know what the movie is about....
Personally I didn't find it to be all that it was cracked up to be, its not an extraordinary movie to me. I mean it was good but it could have been condensed down into something shorter and more of his music should have been played.
Reese is hot by the way...
