Man it was hot...I drove to almost the Tennessee line and walked the only parts yard I know of that has any old trucks...let me tell you, it is dwindling down to nothing...he has scrapped everything except for about 100 vehicles...that means that what comes in now doesn't hang around long enough to get picked before it gets crushed into a little cube...

I saw one 1974 Chevy Cheyenne Super, and a Super 20....an older 1971 or 1972 pickup that had a beutiful chrome Chevrolet grill on it...and I found one 1974 Cheyenne pickup truck from which I pulled two of the fake wood door panels from in very good condition and a bunch of chrome trim pieces, the fake woodgrain for the steering wheel, and an air filter breather...
those doors a in unbelievably good condition...I would have taken them if I had a way to cut them for my Blazer...
I pulled this Cheyenne Super dash badge from that truck..

But he's down to nothing and I don't know where another parts yard is with older Chevy trucks...

That grille looked kind of like this:

Of course, I don't have a dog in this hunt, and I'm sure money is tight with you like everyone else, but if you find "mint" condition Blazer parts like those in this day and age, you ought to grab them even if they don't fit yours.

You almost certainly could sell or swap them to others here from the rust belt. Even with shipping costs, OEM stuff with no rust is gonna sell.

Not only are they not making them anymore, but most of the junkyards are consolidating and getting rid of anything more than a few years old.

I would have, but I didn't have any tools with me...I had driven up that way to pick up my tailgate...I don't know what he wants for chrome stuff..I know he takes cash only...it was on a pickup truck but it probably would fit a Blazer...I wish I had taken my camera...wish I had taken my tools...
