Want to burn out

I have an 89 blazer with 6" superlift, 35s, 350, everything else stock. I want to be able to do killer burn-outs. I was thinking of adding a front line-lock and also changing my rear diff. What size diff should I get? Does anyone have any experience with these ideas? Also, does anyone have any other suggestions besides a bigger motor?

Assuming everything is running right on your truck, you should be able to burn the tires off if you are geared properly. Put some 5.13's in there and forget about the other crap.
 
5.13's with 35's? That's way too low; I'd go with a 4.10, or at the lowest a 4.56. Line-locks aren't entirely necessary, but if you really want to burn the tires off, it is a nice addition.
 
put it in lo range. leave your front hubs unlocked, and do a brake stand
 
get a gov lock 10 bolt....with 3.42's and then some 38's.
Smoke em if you got em.



















Ok seriously why the big burn out deal...this is such a waste.
If you must....get a 14bff with a detroit....bulletproof.
 
10 bolt sucks ive blown to from burn outs my 87 3.73 gears 350 14 bolt semi float open will get one tire smoking like crazy and ive left 20 ft marks throw it in 1st if not it tries to shift to 2nd

naw i wasnt really referring to what you said i could tell you were joking i was saying what your were 3/4 ton lol gets the job done
 
Try a little punctuation... Run-on sentences like that may make sense to you when your typing them, but it's annoying as he!! to read...

Maybe even into the crowd.
 
Never toasted a 10 bolt but I killed to 700s that way im pretty sure...

Ahh, man... I used to run a bleach tank and washer pump in my trunk with nozzles to the wheelwells in my hotrods back in the 80's.... fun, fun, fun.....
 
You think bleach is bad, we used to pour used motor oil on the tires. You have never seen so much smoke. The best part is you never ruin your tires, you just burn off the oil. So easy a Ford can do it.

Did the bleach ever bubble the sidewall rubber? I had that happen to a set of M/T tires on a Chevelle.
 
Nah, but if you used it a bunch the tread compound would get kinda funky... :doah:

That was a trick setup.. Sitting at a light, little flip on the momentary toggle... I was kinda proud that I thought of it, hadn't seen it done...

Being all James Bondish... :haha:
