Wanted: 80's or 90s k5 body shell, front end not needed

Hi all,

I'm looking for a good, relatively rust free body shell that will fit on my 90' k5 frame. It doesnt even need the front core support or anything, as I already have a quad headlight setup to put on it. I don't need any interior parts, frame, fiberglass cap, etc. Just looking for a shell with little to no rust and with a tailgate that will fold down!

I am willing to travel to pick it up,

Any help or leads would be greatly appreciated!

How far are you willing to travel... plenty of rust free ones out here in WA state. Usually cheap if they need a motor.

well, that may be a little too far, but i'll have to see... i'm getting desperate! I'm looking at picking up something over the summer. how much does a typical bare k5 go for around you?

$500 will get you a complete rig with a blown motor and a few other issues. But usually the body is in good shape.

well I would kinda like to stay away from too many dents if possible. Thanks for the replies though, it makes me sick how much i got ripped of for my k5 after looking at all these rust free trucks..

You willing to drive to IL? Im located near Chicago and I have a 1979 2wd k-5. Originally from arizona. No motor/trans, NO rust holes, some minor surface rust on the floors but nothing major. No major dents. The pass side body is a little tweacked so the pass side door is a little hard to close because the gap is tight. A body shop would be able to pull this out. The driver's side door is new.

I would like to sell the whole thing, but I might sell the tub seperate

Hey Ryan, yes I would be willing to drive to IL. I'm ok with a little body work, much better than the rusted through floors I have now! Please let me know what you might be looking to get for it. I would certainly grab the entire truck...
