Wanted: '83 Column; Pickup tailgate for swap

My rig is a 1983 K5 (just acquired, project thread coming). I am in Houston, Texas.

1. I need a column for the '83. It's currently a tilt/auto but I would be game for a non-tilt, as well. Working switch-gear, please. A decent steering wheel (stock is fine) with horn button intact would be a bonus. Working ignition cylinder and key also a bonus, but not mandatory. I am not interested in any column that has slop, or boogered wiring, please. This will eventually be rigged to an orbital valve/full hydro. Shipping zip 77345.

2. I also need the usual '81 - '87 pickup tailgate and hardware for swap to the K5. Does not need to be perfect, small dents are fine and I don't care about the paint. I am not interested in rusty, bowed, or busted handle hardware, please. Same shipping zip.

I have a good 82' auto column. I believe it is tile but I need to look. Needs key cylinder and key though. PM me an offer.

I have a good tilt steering column from a manual 83 $100
Both have good locks and keys.
I have a tailgate that has no rust, has dings and the mechanism works. $20

Ice - 1. How complete are the two columns you mention? Steering wheels? Wiring hacked? Do you happen to know if the switch gear had changed from 83 to 88?
2. On the tailgate, do you have the hardware with it, too, that I'd need for the swap?

Columns are both still in the trucks and everything is still intact.
i will check to see about changes between 83 and 88, but I believe the 81 and up are the same.
The truck tailgate will come with all the hardware, I will take a pic tomorrow to show you the condition.

Excellent thanks. If you can confirm, then I'd be interested in the tailgate and the '88. Edit - Ice, I've got a response here in Texas, too, that I'm checking into.

in 84 the windshield wiper was moved to the column instead of the dash.

I have an excellent working column in an '83 or '84 K30. Its non-tilt and no shifter as its the manual tranny column. I can't remember if its '83 or '84. Need to run out and check.
