Weird front end issue. 2005 suburban

Yea. Just one for now. Only due to money. It definitely needed to be replaced. It was obviously original. And it has about 180k on the ticker. The next one will be soon to follow. Very easy job.

I may have to let a shop diagnose this for me. My fear is that it's a computer issue making the stabilitrack go wacky.

on my HD it went bad at 70K, my Tahoe it was about the same mileage as your rig. I still think it's your other bearing and for $100 it's probably just as much $ as a diagnostic if not cheaper.

I'm still leaning that way as well. The stabilitrac should only react based on the information it's fed. It shouldn't engage without getting bad info from a sensor. Definitely wish you luck getting this figured out as I'm curious as to the outcome

another thought in effort to eliminate the stabilitrac, can you disable it somehow by pulling a fuse?

I have to spend some time with my friend Google today and see about that. None of the fuses / relays are marked as traction control, stability control or anything similar.

You should have a button on the dash correct? Mine does. You can push it and disable traction control stabilitrac

Press and hold it for 8ish seconds and it should disable both traction control and stabilitrac.

Okay so... I've replaced both unit bearings now. They definitely needed it, but didn't solve the problem. I've been playing with it and found that it stays in 4hi no matter what you do. This is the auto one with no selection for 2hi. There doesn't seem to be a issue with the shift selenoid or the transfer case.. it shifts between hi, low, neutral just fine. Between Google and some mechanic friends, everything seems to be leaning towards the transfer case control module. The traction control light comes on occasionally and so does the service four wheel drive warning. Both can be cleared by restarting. This is also symptoms of a bad module.
I don't believe that's what is causing it to pull, but if it's 4 wheel drive when it's not supposed to be, and I have some slight wear in front end parts, the torque could easily cause a pull. And I believe the whine I'm hearing may just be the transfer case spinning at high speeds.
