I've welded about 20 or so this way including a 7500lbs. truck running an extremely healthy bigblock. 496 maybe, Massive tractor tires and I guarantee it won't brake.

If you are going to weld your diff then this is the best way to do it for sure. I had both the welding methods in my K5 (void welding & ball welding) and the ball method is MUCH superior to the void welds.

I still recommend the Detroit as the best overall choice unless it is offroad only then I would just weld it like pictured above.

thanks for the input fellas, i think the best choice fo my rig would be the detroit do to the fact it sees alot of pavement time still.
