OK. The brotherhood here has advised that LMC rockers, etc. are 18 ga. Now I would like to know what size mig wire you would recommend be used for welding in these panels.

I have a Lincoln SP135T and am currently running .035 but have .025 readily available if that would be better. I am also running the heat on the lowest setting and corresponding the wire speed to match that.

By the way, I have been using flux core wire but would also appreciate a heads up on how much better my welds would be if I had gas and regular wire.

TIA. Art

I use gas.....025 or .030
(Flux core is out for bodywork unless you sandblast the weld)

When you get those LMC's....can you mic'm????
Most of the rockers I've seen are 20 GA.
Tabco is the only one with 18# that I've seen...

I wondered about 18 ga. thinking it was 20 ga. myself. But someone on the forum advised it was 20 ga. so I took it for fact.

When I get the panels I'll gauge it and advise.

Thanks for the links. Great pics, etc. Art
