Well can i get a joint around here?

So I found the noise in the k5, rear u joint on the axle side is toast. So planning on changing it at the transfer case and the axle side. Should be a gm s44/3rl on both right? Is spicer the best to go?

Stock 86 k5 with 700r4/208/10 bolt.

Does your driveshaft have the plastic pins that hold the original joint in place, (or inside C clips if the originals have been replaced already)? If so then they are the 3R joints.

Gonna look tomorrow to see if it has the factory plastic in there, but i assume it does because everything else drive train wise on this truck appears stock.

Would an inside diameter caliper be the only way i could tell if the join is a 3r or a 1330? (i think that's the close size one right?)
