Yep, I finally did it today. I ordered a 10 point rollcage from S&W Racecars. All of the 10 points are on sale for $219 until Christmas. So, I am finally going from DD/Weekend Warrior, to dedicated wheeler. The cage will go in, and the top, tailgate, and doors will come off. :bow:

the site lists them at $249
Yeah, they are only $249 to begin with. Thats still a good price. The extra $30 was just enough to set me over the edge. I had to add like $35 for some extra bracing (they highly recommend it with the K5's), so it was about the same price as regular. Ive heard good thing about their cages though. No dash modifications! :D

I ordered one also :D But I am sad because I wanted to mod the dash. I am hoping I can get the lower legs a bit more forward and thus building the dash off the cage. The factory just has to go in mine.

i'm planning on ordering mine next monday, need to get paid first :D
what oter options do they have? you said extra bracing?

Basically, they only offer one option. Thats the extra tubing for the family cage. I believe its like $150 extra. The outriggers that I bough that were $8.25 each were actually required. The salesman said that on K5's the frame is in so far, that the cage needs the extra bracing right around the door/rocker area. The outriggers brace to the frame I believe.

I thought the 10 point was the family and the 8 point was the regular? Is this incorrect.

Use the search feature. All of this information was covered about a month ago by me, and all this week by jayson. You can find mine here;

It will have pretty much all of the info you need.
BTW- to get it out of the way:
1) It fits under the stock hard top, and with the stock dash
2) The kit comes with no instructions, and requires some cutting and notching to fit
3) The 10 point and the "family cage" are not the same thing
4) You will need a tube notcher if you dont already have one
