well i was planing on having the burb done for the summer crawl...half azzing everything togher...i drove the truck for a week last week and i couldnt wait to get out of it..its plain scary...7 inches if lift 38 boggers and push/pull dont go togher..

So once again im gonna go through the truck and do it right this time...crossover, and i think i might got to a set of 2 inch 52s...

my project started off as me saying i was gonna buy all new nice parts, then i tried to piece it togher...now im back to doing it the right way...well time to spend some $$$...

good luck man....im in the spending money part of my build. my least favorite part...but it will all pay off...then you get to tear it all down and rebuild again...and again....and again....that's how i am anyways. haha im addicted to modifying my truck. damnit

Doing it right might take more time, but is well worth it in the long run. It may take me a year to get all the parts to do my measly 4" lift, 14ff, 10b front, and crossover, but when I do it, it will be done right. Much safer and easier to do it once. Good luck with the build, hope to see lots of pics as you get it done.

you are in the right frame of mind, but to wait till everything is done, you could miss out on some fun wheelin. when i built my s15 years ago i did it on a progress level where each year i added, but still wheeled it and just did the easy stuff first. as time when by, i built it better and better and then took on harder stuff. i am doin the same with my blazer. its far from being ready for boulders in the red zone, i am sure i can tackle some mean azz peebles in the green and possibly the black :D

so just bring your burban to the summer crawl and hang out with us, and take a look. ya never know you might want to join me in the easy section, i will probably be the only one there :D

That's some good advice there J. Tim had only driven his 10 miles before we tackled the Tellico trip, and I always considered mine nominal at best. Both trucks did fine for the 1000 mile round trip.

You guys did a lot better than fine!!!!! I still shake my head thinking about what you guys did. Just can't wait until I get to wheel with you guys again.
