This place goes thru and crushes inventory every 30-45 days, so stuff doesnt stay. Anyways. they had ONE single K5 there. It was gutted, there wasnt a thing left on this. Theyve had k5s b4 and it was the same story. I think they are the most picked apart vehicle out there. Oh well. Seen a few suburbans and an old 70s K10 pick up with a HUGH axle under the back. Looked like a 1ton to me, but what do i know. It looked jus like the FF axles though. oh well. I go out there every so often. Nice way to spend the day. lol.

You're right buddy. Sometimes its just kinda nice to go putter around the junk yards, even when you're not lookin for anything in particular. And for me, its a good way to get outta the house, away from the wife and kids.

I normally try to stop by our local pick n pull once a week. Lately, I haven't been for a few weeks. They normally have 2 or 3 K5s laying around, but they also have plenty of chevy trucks and a suburban or 2. Sometimes I just go to kill time and look for that evasive dana 60.

I had a deal with the owner of the pick-n-pull when I lived in Kansas that I would strip cars for him, and he would pay me in truck parts. Not a bad deal for either of us. I actually built a 1973-1984ish chevy/GMC pickup. Ugly as hell, but it ran great, and best of all, I didn't care if it got any body damage.
