Looking like it’s gonna burn into LNU if it ever heads west. The map shows on a dead run north though....

Think CalFire had 3.7M acres counted for 2020

At what point do they say screw it and let it go until it burns itself out?

Sadly, if you read or listen to the updates, a lot of what the fire teams do is defense. Around here they have had a difficult time using air suppression because the wind/draft/terrain make it unsafe to operate

I helped friends move back into their house 3 weeks ago in Santa Rosa. It was burned down 3 years ago in the last fire in Santa Rosa (Tubbs Fire) and was just rebuilt and passed inspections. Now the Glass fire has caused evacuations all the way up to their backyard neighbors; the street behind their house. Hoping the best for all in this fire's path and can't imagine what my friends are feeling as well.

And there’s another fire that’s near the August Complex called the Zogg fire that’s at 50k acres with 0% containment. They believe they’ll just grow together.

Mullen fire is up to 96,757 acres. There were nonstop air tankers flying over my job site yesterday. I was right by lake hattie and they were filling for air drops. Those pilots are bad asses!

Mullen fire has decided to visit Colorado, and has burned into Jackson and Larimer counties. They reported 103k, but that data was current as of 1330 hrs
Hot spot map shows it’s moved

Glass fire looks like it has is is about to join LNU

It was pretty windy up here this afternoon. The smoke cloud was huge, you could tell there were some big flare ups.

Its trying to visit the cameron fire. Real narrow corridor of forest but if it jumps the highway by the border the forecast winds will drive it that way. West/ northwest winds with no precip and warm temps clear into next week. Another rugged chunk of forest with heavy beetle kill. They started trying to back burn the highway last night, its the only feature they can use to stop it over there.

Those fires have gotten very large! I hope we stay in the clear here now for the rest of the season since we are smoke free now.

Mullen fire is at 127,503 acres. They are getting a bit of fire line along the highway but still consider it basically uncontained.

Quite a bit of smoke still rolling due south over the mountains. You can see on the map where they’re back burning along (125) 230 and by Mountain Home.

Those fire fighters are really working now

I am not following up on where the fires are at now in California because they are too many and all over but I had about a week of reasonable air and now it's back to bad.
Last night I was not feeling well and was up all night and everytime I looked out side I saw an orange moon :doah:
