i am rewiring my engine harness and found some stray wires under the front fender.the colors go to the tcm in the engine somewhere.is this a transmission control module or what.im trying to figure out what all the stray wires are in the engine compartment and either replace them or eliminate them.thanx

yup...your right.Transmission controll moduale. It would be located on the carb if you still have it.It looks like solenoid with a one wire connection and a couple vaccume lines going to it.If your truck doesn't have it, tape up the ends of the wire and set it aside.

I hope you are talking about the TCS (transmission controlled spark) system. TCM would be an electronic transmission control module (computer), and would not be found in any vehicle prior to the late 80s.
