i just painted mine, last saturday. i wanted it to look like bare iron, but i didn't want rust, so i used "cast coat iron" enamel on the block, heads, intake manifold, and water pump. came out even better than i expected. my dad has some maroon paint left from his ford that i may use on the pulleys and/or accessories.

Black, but not by my choice. If I ever have to pull it for a rebuild it won't be black again. I will use a lighter color just help find oil leaks. Grey, silver.. pastel pink.. I don't care, just as long as the leaks show up quickly, so I can find them without putting out an APB.

not the best pic that is a black motor with chrome valve covers, stainless air cleaner, ceramic coated headers, chrome t-stat housing, chrome breaters and fill plug. Aluminum intake. you get the picture.

I didn't dig this thread up. it was on the first page.

Yellow, cuz it's diesel. I plan to use a couple of colors for the tranny, t-case, etc. Didn't see how old this post was either:crazy:
