So i noticed a while back my filer neck was leaking during fill up. Upon further inspection, the fill-pipe is loose from the tank, you can slide it up and down rather easily. Its a 90' so it came with TB, but PO converted to carb. What tank should i go back with? I am thinking the TB tank had more lines coming out that i wouldn't need (or it may just be for that style fuel pump assembly?)
It does have a manual fuel pump on the engine.

The TBI tanks use a larger filler hose so it's quite possible that someone installed a carb tank and that's why the fuel filler hose is loose. Since it has a mechanical pump you would need a carb style fuel sending unit and tank.

The metal portion of the fill neck has come loose from the tank itself? Not the hose? If replacing the tank, a carb tank will work. You need to know which sending unit you have now. TBI and carb are different. If you buy a new tank and sending unit, it won't matter.

Im going to buy both. yes the actual pipe is loose from the tank itself. sooo. 86' /older, tank and sending unit should work ?

K5? Can't think of a reason on the planet to go with anything but the 31 gallon, except if you absolutely need the clearance a 25 gallon MIGHT give you.

Not sure they are significantly thinner at the furthest rearward point vs a 31 gallon, where I assume clearance would be most beneficial.
