IIRC, is it white and located under the dash near the steering column? if yes, it is the DRAc, and you need it for your speedo to work
you might want to keep it if you have kept the fuel injection so the computer knows vhecial speed.
ABS, Cruise and ECM all work off of the DRAC, along with the speedometer of course.
It will output 2000 or 4000PPM for speedometer drive, so if the aftermarket speedo you are looking at needs either of those, you should be good.
