What is my blazer worth?!?

The reason i am asking this is because i get people asking oh man how much would you sell that thing for? and some guys offering to trade me newer k5 blazer straight trades ect...So i am just wondering....

March 11th it is geting a 4 inch lift and 36/12.50/r16.5 tires and new seats so count that in on the price.

The motor runs very good,tranny shifts perfect, This thing starts up right away all i do is push the gas pedal down one time the turn the key and it fires right up.

I just did an oil change,new battery,new terminals,new oil pan gasket,new tranny filter and gasket.


Here are pictures of how it looks right now, I will most likly spray this whole blazer satin black.

we have rules on how much is it worth.

if you like it and know it dont trade it. and 69-75 had the full convertable roof. 76-91 half roof. so factor that in.
 
Well i about $1900 into this thing already...And everyone is asking if i would sell it i always tell them no i just bought it....Then people are like wow you got a good deal....

One guy walked the blazer over looking at it and kept saying man you got a real gem here a real gem....Then looked inside the glove box and said wow all yyour codes are here in the glove box,and door seal...This is a real gem...So i was wodnering how much this thing is worth...

He made me feel like i had a show car when all i see is a k5 blazer that i been waning since i was 5! lol
 
That guy was a trip he owns a body shop....I had the top off and he was also saying wow everything here is all original. and he said the rust was minimal on the fenders...He checked my steering box and was saying it was good and the blazer was not raged on?
 
It's worth about $1500. Any money you put into it after that you can figure about a 40 cent on the dollar return.
 
Everybody wants everyone elses vehicles seems like, they ask what you'd sell it for just bein nosey, but when it comes time to pass the bills over, no one seems to like it. I thin the fact that something isn't for sale makes it more desirable, but no one would give you anything for it. Thats from my experience with my blazer
 
Hmmm well had a guy offer me $1800 cash for it at the gas station...Then had that guy wanna trade me his 1984 k5 blazer 4x4 with a 350 engine/350 trans dono wat t case....But it had a 12 inch superlift with 39 inch mickey tompsons....

But i am thinking of geting a bike....and a car

ohwell just ideas....I know this blazer is clean inside and out...there is an old junky 1991 bronco that is is worse shape than mine and the guy is selling it for $3500.......this is my main reason for asking...but we will see...I would like to throw a price on it for $3500 if some one would pay that this thing would be gone...Because my uncle will sell his other one for $2000 and that thing has a built 350 in it and is way nicer than the one i got.
 
To say that K5 is clean is a HUGE stretch. The grille is broken, all the side trim has been removed and left the tabs still in place, there is no carpet at the least in the rear cargo area, no dash in the truck (laying in the back is not an installed dash), and apparently a rather large gas leak somewhere.

If it is a fairly rust free rig, I'd say it's worth $1500 in the eastern part of the country, here out west, it's worth a $1000. If someone actually offered you $1800 cash, you should have jumped on that like it was a hot blonde with no standards.

The dash was installed i took it out and repainted it black to make it nicer...also i fixed that fuel leak....It was just the fuel filter had a crack in it :haha: Next time i get asked how much i want i am just gona say $2500 and if some one pays that ima hop on it. since this thing is junk by the way people are saying it aint worth much.
 
No it runs very very good starts up right away with no problems everything works perfect....But the few who posted made it sound like its worthless....But i like it so that is all that matters....Also i just wanted to see what a k5 owners would say about it:haha:

I dont think anything was intended to say its junk....just that it may need some work. I think more was intended towards the guys that said it was a "real gem"

I would say throw some paint all over it, dont put a bunch of accesories and stuff and then see what people say. Idk in my opinion the camo looks kinda ehh to me. A nice solid color i think would bring more attention and clean it upl. If it runs and is nice, i would say keep it and just enjoy people telling you how cool your truck is. I know when i get a compliment it makes my day :waytogo:

My truck looks like hammered dogsh!t. I like it that way 'cause who wants to wheel a collector car? If it makes you happy who cares what it's worth?

No one is saying it's junk, but also lets not pretend that these trucks are highly sought after or worth a lot of money. It's across the board, I have probably 30K into my K5, it's fully restored and one bad K5 compared to most and has a feature not found in most vehicle projects, it's completed, but I doubt it's worth more than $10K. It's the way it goes, these trucks aren't '63 split windows.

What did you pay for the truck? That would probably give you a good idea what it's worth in your area.

NOOOO , My dad got offered 10G's for the 73 k5 before the motor caught on fire 4 years ago and turned it down without hesitation. If you love a truck like some of us on ck5 then its worth is infinite. I cant see myself ever selling either of my k5's. I tried to sell my 76 and i couldnt do it, I think the for sale thread is still up :haha: .
