What is this truck?

I just saw a "truck" that made me think WTF? It was GM van/cab like the u-haul trucks but had a work bed with built in tool boxes and a little cherry picker hoist in the bed. And it was a LOONG BED as in about the size of my crewcab in total length. I've never seen anything like it before. Is this something GM made or something custom? I thought at first it was an old moving van that had the box removed and the workbed added but I don't really know.

Cab/Chassis can be configured differently , see a fleet dealer . Most box trucks aren't even born at GM with the box , thats added after the trucks already been made

So GM would just sell the chassis with a van cab and then the box can be added by the buyer? What lengths do they normally make them in?

you can get a cap off kit for the old box truck vans. like the old ryder trucks.

That is what this was the van front end with a back wall like a pickup cab and like the box vans. I have just never seen one with anything but a moving van box. To see it with a service bed style just kinda blew my mind. Also never seen a moving van so long (20-25 feet total length) that wasn't built on a medium duty truck chassis. Just saw it out the window and thought WTF?
